We believe technology should be accessible to everyone. We develop the Mara app and website with accessibility in mind, using operating-system and language preferences where supported.
1. High Contrast and Dark Mode
The app supports a dark appearance and clear contrast, while some screens and controls remain dependent on the app version, operating system, and device settings.
2. Fluid Typography
Text sizing and layout respond to screen size and the text-scaling settings supported by the operating system. At the largest scaling settings, some screens may reflow differently; we continue to improve them.
3. Bi-directional Layout Support
The app supports Arabic and English, including right-to-left and left-to-right layouts, with dates and some terminology formatted for the selected language.
4. Screen Reader Compatibility
Interactive controls and buttons use accessible labels where supported by the current components, and we test key flows with operating-system accessibility features. We do not claim complete compatibility with every screen reader or feature, so please report anything that is unclear or inaccessible.
5. Large Touch Targets
We aim for comfortable touch areas and spacing across primary controls, while continuing to review new screens for users with motor-access needs.
6. Keyboard Navigation
The website supports keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators for its primary controls. Some mobile-app interactions still depend on gestures or operating-system controls.
7. Voice Input
The app provides voice input and speech-to-text in flows that display a recording control. Microphone use remains optional and depends on system permission, device support, and language availability.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need an alternative path, email support@iammara.com with your device, operating system, and the step you could not complete. We use this feedback to prioritize improvements and do not currently claim formal WCAG conformance.
